Whitfield & Sons is a trading name of Whitfield & Sons Funeral Directors Ltd, which is wholly owned by Beverley Funerals Limited. Beverley Funerals Limited is the ultimate parent of this and several other family-run funeral homes, each of which continues to be run locally under its long-established name, by the same families and to the same values they have always held.

Pre-paid funeral plans

We act as an introducer for pre-paid funeral plans provided by Golden Charter Limited, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

We do not provide our own funeral plans, and we do not introduce any other plan provider. We may receive a commission from Golden Charter for plans taken out following an introduction; this never affects the price you pay.

Pricing and CMA compliance

In line with the Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021, our Standardised Price List and Additional Options Price List are published on this website and displayed in our office.

We do not receive payments, commission or any other reward for referring families to a particular crematorium, burial ground, hospice or care home.

Professional memberships

We are a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and operate to its published Code of Practice. We are inspected by the NAFD against that Code.
