Privacy policy

Whitfield & Sons Funeral Directors Ltd respects your privacy. Any personal information you share with us — through our enquiry forms, by email, or in person — is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to provide you with the services you have asked for.

Contact & pre-arrangement form submissions

When you submit our contact form or our pre-arrangement enquiry form, we collect the details you provide (your name, your phone number and/or email address, your chosen location, and the content of your message or your preferred contact time). This information is stored securely in our enquiry system and is sent by email to the relevant branch so that a member of our team can get back to you.

We use these details only to respond to your enquiry, to arrange the services you have asked about, and to keep an internal record of the conversation. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not pass them to any third party. Enquiry records are kept for as long as necessary to deliver the service and then for a reasonable period for legal and accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years), after which they are deleted.

The lawful bases for processing this information are your consent (when you submit the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. Where you go on to instruct us, the basis becomes the performance of our contract with you.

We will never sell your data. We will never share it with a third party for marketing purposes. We retain enquiry records for as long as necessary to deliver the service, and then for a reasonable period for legal and accounting purposes.

You may ask at any time what information we hold about you, request its correction, or request its deletion. Please contact us on info@whitfieldandsons.co.uk.
